About a year ago we began “live tweeting” Shark Tank episodes on Fridays, and I was blown away by the positive response from fellow fans and viewers of the show. Mind you, we started out live tweeting repeat episodes from Season 2, and still the response was incredible. Each week hundreds or thousands of people were being introduced to the Sharks and many if not all immediately connected with the show. Entrepreneurship is alive and well in America, online and off.
The energy from fans on social media as well as the Sharks themselves was palpable throughout Season 3. This undoubtedly contributed to Shark Tank’s rise to becoming Friday’s ratings darling for ABC and a certified hit entering its fourth season this Fall. Exhibit A: our twitter account (@SharkTankABC) only had a couple thousand followers at that time, and today it stands at over 20,500.
